DR. PHILIP AUGUSTINE MD DMDr. Philip Augustine is Chairman of Philip Augustine Associates (P) Ltd and Director of the Centre of Excellence in Gastrointestinal Sciences at Rajagiri Hospital, Kochi, Kerala. He is a winner of Olympus Mitra Endoscopy Award, is one of the best-known Gastroenterologists of the country and a leading expert in pancreatic diseases. He is a pioneer in therapeutic endoscopy in India and was one of the first to establish therapeutic pancreatobiliary endoscopy in the country. He organized one of the best known medico-surgical gastroenterology units in the country which has done pioneering work in tropical pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer. As an eminent healthcare administrator, he set up the prestigious corporate hospital like Lakeshore Hospital, Kochi. A member of the ICMR panel of experts in Pancreatology, he was the President of the Indian Pancreas Club. He is also credited with the first authentic report of existence of Crohn’s Diseases in India in 1995. He was conferred with Padma Shri Award in the year 2010 for his contribution to the healthcare sector.

DR. CYRIAC ABBY PHILIPS MD DMDr. Cyriac Abby Philips is Consultant and Physician-Scientist, at The Liver Institute and Monarch Liver Laboratory, under Philip Augustine Associates, at Rajagiri Hospital, Kochi, Kerala. He is also the Clinical Advisor and Doctoral Advisory Committee Member, Department of Cell and Tissue Culture at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, a Central Institute under the Government of India, at Trivandrum, Kerala. Dr. Philips is a two-time American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) clinical hepatology plenary awardee (2015, 2017) and three-time AASLD Young Investigator Award winner (2015, 2016, 2017) and the 2017 winner of the Young Investigator Award of the European Association for the Study of Liver (EASL) for his works on fecal microbiota transplantation in liver disease, Ayurveda and herbal induced liver injury and gut microbiome in alcohol related liver disease. He was conferred the President of India Gold in Hepatology at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi in 2016. He has published over 160+ peer reviewed articles in high impact journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Hepatology, Hepatology and American Journal of Gastroenterology. He has authored over 12+ chapters on topics in cirrhosis, portal hypertension, alcohol-associated liver disease and drug induced liver injury. He is currently editorial member, academic and guest editor of the Indian Journal of Gastroenterology, Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology, BMC Gastroenterology and Biomed Research International. His pioneering work in the field of liver diseases has been the introduction of healthy donor fecal transplant for severe alcoholic hepatitis and novel data on toxicology and chemical analysis of complementary and alternative medicine (specifically AYUSH related) induced liver injury.

DR. S RAJESH MD PDCCDr. Sasidharan Rajesh, Head of Department and Consultant – Interventional Hepatobiliary Radiology, graduated from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi and did his postgraduation in Radiology from Government Medical College in Gwalior. He got his training in radiological interventions and abdominal imaging during his tenure as a fellow and senior resident from the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences in New Delhi. He received further training in hepatobiliary Interventions from the Seoul National University Hospital in South Korea. A recipient of the R.K. Jain memorial gold medal award, he has presented numerous papers and posters in national and international conferences and has to his credit a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals.

DR. RIZWAN AHAMED ZULFIKAR MD DMDr. Rizwan Ahamed Zulfikar, Consultant – Gastroenterology, is an alumnus of Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University and completed his DM in Gastroenterology from the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. He was awarded the Asian Young Endoscopist Award (AYEA) as part of International Digestive Endoscopy Network 2019 (IDEN) at Seoul, South Korea. He underwent short term training in advanced therapeutic endoscopy at Yeungnam University, Daegu, South Korea. He has presented posters and oral lectures at both national and international levels with several publications in indexed journals.

DR. JINSHA K A ABDULJALEEL MD DMDr. Jinsha K Abduljaleel, a recipient of The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University Gold Medal Award and university in D.M. – Gastroenterology, did her Super Specialty education from the prestigious Madras Medical College. She is also board certified from the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) and the UEMS Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology (ESBGH). Her areas of interest are Alcoholic Liver Disease, ACLF, Pancreatitis, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She has expertise in endoscopy, colonoscopy, hemostasis, polypectomy, esophageal dilation, and advanced GI endoscopy techniques.

DR. DINU CHANDRAN NAIR MBBS DNBDr. Dinu Chandran Nair, Consultant Radiologist at the Center of Excellence on Gastrointestinal Sciences, graduated from Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, Thiruvalla and did his DNB from KG Hospital & Post Graduate Medical Institute, Coimbatore. He has also secured a Diploma in Medical Radio Diagnosis (DMRD) from Rajah Muthiah Medical College, Annamalai University. He has a working experience of more than 4 years in the field of Medical Radiodiagnosis.
